Waterville Historical Society

your connection to the past

The Waterville Historical Society collects, preserves, provides access to, interprets and fosters an appreciation of history that has an impact on the Waterville, Ohio and surrounding area.

We would like to thank the Ohio Historic Records Advisory Board for the grant that has made our online presence possible. The historic Waterville Interurban Bridge Collection, featured in our initial entry, is significant because this bridge was famously offered for sale by the Ohio Department of Transportation and is now scheduled for demolition due to its deteriorating conditions. To view our collection, click this link PastPerfectOnline Use the Keyword Search to search for bridge, school, name of graduate, etc. This will allow the search to be specific. If you just want to see them all use Random Images.

We are now following this entry with other parts of our large holdings of photographs and artifacts detailing the history of Waterville, Ohio and the surrounding area. We have posted photographs of Waterville School, students and graduates. We have followed this with the Farnsworth family and business along with the Graf items and have now posted over 250 items on this site. We encourage viewers to explore our website for more details about our facilities and activities and invite you to visit the Wakeman Archives. This site will continue to be updated, so keep checking back!
