Wakeman Archives Open today!

  • Wakeman Archival Research Center 401 Farnsworth Road, P.O. Box 263 Waterville, OH, 43566 United States (map)

Wakeman Archives will be open Saturday July 26 from 10 am-2 pm. We look forward to seeing you. There is a massive amount of information you might like to look at. If you are into genealogy we have six bookcases of family file boxes plus four file drawers of family files of families that lived in the Waterville Township/Providence Township area. We have a large collection of atlases, rolled maps, bound AW Standard from 1958-1979. Those interested in the early schools in the area we have records, plus all of the pictures of the graduates of the early Waterville School. We have military history and firsthand accounts of men in service plus the original Dr. Welcome Pray’s son’s letters home from the Civil War. Those can also be seen on the Ohio Memory online website. We have a large collection of the Interurban Bridge pictures plus the early camera that took some of the pictures. For those interested in how the Ditch Assessment was started we have an early Waterville Township book detailing how those were started. All of these plus much more waiting to be explored.
