"Remembering Waterville School" by Jim Conrad

  • Browning Masonic Community 8883 Browning Drive Waterville, OH, 43566 United States

“Remembering Waterville School” will feature many vintage photos from the Waterville Historical Society’s archival center.  The program will begin with a brief review of Waterville’s village and township schools from 1825’s Old Red Ox Mill School to the completion of the beautiful facility located on the site of the old school recently torn down.  It will largely focus on that 1886 building and its subsequent additions and renovations which served our community until 1996.  Photos of students, staff, memorabilia and structures range from the turn of the 20th century to the site’s last use as an Anthony Wayne elementary school.

A special invitation is extended to all graduates and attendees of Waterville High School and/or junior high school.  Please bring any memorabilia to share of your treasured memories.  If you still have your letter sweater or candid photos, we’d love to see them.  We’re hoping to have as many of you as possible join in a rousing chorus of the school songs.
